Thanks to Albertsons for sponsoring this post and helping us get the word out about the great new features of the Albertsons app!
Did you know that Oregon has one of the highest gas prices in the country with consumers paying over $0.30 above the national average gas price (based on AAA Gas Prices in 2016)?
With Chevron, Albertsons is launching a new Gas Rewards program to help customers save on gas. Shoppers can now earn points and redeem up to $1 per gallon in Gas Rewards at Safeway and Albertsons gas stations and at participating Chevron and Texaco locations. Shoppers can quickly and easily enroll today by downloading the Albertsons app on their phone or by visiting Albertsons.com for more information. Once registered, shoppers can enter their phone number at checkout every time they shop to earn Gas Rewards points for every dollar spent on participating items and build up to a Gas Rewards savings. In addition, Albertsons shoppers can save even more with the launch of the just for U® savings tool on the new Albertsons app, available for iOS™ and Android® devices. Offers available through the app include manufacturer and store coupons, as well as personalized deals for customers based on their unique shopping history.
Who doesn’t love saving on gas and groceries? The just for U® savings tool lets you shop for the best deals based on your shopping history. You select your store, and you’re ready to shop, save, and earn rewards.
The just for U® savings tool in the app shows me the Weekly Ads so I can add the current sale items to my shopping list as well. You can find over $300 in weekly savings with just for U®, on groceries as well as other items that will help you earn Gas Rewards and save money. My app KNOWS we buy movie tickets and that Star Wars Rogue One is going to be hot, so it has a special offer for purchasing tickets for Regal Cinema Gift Cards.
I love that the app remembers items I’ve purchased from my previous shopping trips, so it’s easy for me to add those items to my list for my next shopping trip. I can easily build a shopping list from my purchase history and can sort by category, purchase history, and more.
At the bottom of my app, I can see my current Rewards Summary, which details the total points I have toward my next Gas Reward, how many 10 cent Gas Rewards I have available, and what rewards I have expiring at the end of the month (I have to make sure I use those rewards before they expire!). It doesn’t take long for those Gas Rewards to add up. With a family of 6, you can only imagine what our grocery bill looks like, so every little bit of savings and extra earnings helps.
