About “The Mighty Ones”
Offbeat pals “Rocksy,” “Twig,” “Leaf,” and “Very Berry” return for 10 all-new episodes of “The Mighty Ones,” created and executive produced by Sunil Hall (“Gravity Falls”) and Lynne Naylor (“Samurai Jack”) and featuring the creative team behind some of the most influential animated series of the last 2 decades (”The Ren & Stimpy Show,” “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “The Powerpuff Girls”). Season 2 debuts July 1st on Peacock and Hulu, with special guest stars Manila Luzon (“RuPaul’s Drag Race”), Fortune Feimster (“Kenan,” Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar), and Stephen Root (Office Space, “Amphibia”)!
In every backyard exists a secret world filled with tiny creatures, and “The Mighty Ones” follows the hilarious misadventures of the smallest of them: a twig, a pebble, a leaf, and a strawberry. Living in the unkempt backyard belonging to a trio of equally unkempt humans—who they mistake for gods—these self-proclaimed Mighty Ones are determined to live large and have fun in their wild wonderland, despite their diminutive stature.
In Season 2, the misadventures of The Mighty Ones continue as they explore their backyard wonderland and learn more about the strange creatures they share it with. A flood forces the group to live as pirates searching for dry land, Rocksy dabbles in a home makeover, and Very Berry makes a new feathery “friend” who may or may not see her as food. These mighty little beings are relatively fearless, a little misguided, and always have each others’ backs come snow, wind, or any atmospheric phenomenon that threatens the yard they call home.
About “The Mighty Ones” Core Characters
Very Berry, voiced by Alex Cazares
Berry is a wild strawberry who left the berry patch to see the world. Wanting more out of life than sunshine and dew like the rest of her clan, she is fearless and ready for any and all adventures. Unfettered by her often superstitious strawberry family or becoming prey to a hungry bird, Berry’s up for just about anything, especially if it’s having fun and causing chaos with her chosen family, the Mighty Ones.
Twig, voiced by Josh Brenner
Twig is the sensitive, cautious, and wisest member of the group. He has high aspirations of becoming a Mighty Oak someday, though his always-on-the-go lifestyle with his friends makes it impossible for him to put down roots. Suffering from residual abandonment issues stemming from the fact that his brother Leaf was once attached to him, Twig reluctantly accompanies his friends on their adventures partly because he’s afraid of being alone, but mostly because he’s dependable. His intellectual attributes are often overshadowed by his structural properties as a crutch, pry bar, or pole in times of dire need, even though he’d prefer to be seen as more than just a tool.
The Humans
The humans are the 3 female slacker roommates who live in the big house attached to the Yard. Completely unaware of the tiny universe in the Yard, to them the Mighty Ones are nothing more than garden litter. However, to the Mighty Ones, the humans are giant, incomprehensible forces in their universe affecting their lives in enormous ways. The humans seem to have nothing but free time, yet still somehow afford rent, food, and basic cable…this month anyway. The effects of their actions will be seen more than they are, but every once in a while the Mighty Ones will have a direct run-in with the humans leading to hilarious results.
