This awesome new app called Pokémon Go has been capturing the hearts of millions of people as downloads of this app continue to climb by the thousands! People both young and old can enjoy the unique game play that is app has to offer with the joys of discovering and capturing different kinds of wild Pokémon each day! The game is designed to progress as your Trainer character levels up, giving you loads of new and exciting discoveries with each progression!
Design Your Trainer Character
In the very beginning of the game you need to design your Trainer character. It’s actually a nice feature for kids as they may enjoy having the ability to make their character resemble their own personality or looks. Choose your favorite options for outfit, hair, eyes, etc. and enjoy showing off your Trainer’s personalized look.
Choose Your Starter Pokémon
There are several options for choosing a starter Pokémon monster. The professor will offer you a choice to pick a Charmander (fire type), Bulbasaur (grass type), or Squirtle (water type). Choose wisely as depending on which Pokémon you choose, it will work as a type advantage against certain other types of Pokémon later in the game when you are battling Gyms.
Go Searching For Wild Pokémon
Get out and about in your neighborhood with your friends and family and enjoy walking, going for a bike ride, hiking along a trail in a bird sanctuary or national park, or even take a ride for an adventure in your car while searching for all sorts of wildPokémon. (Please always go with a buddy and make sure someone knows where you are headed. Assign a “chauffeur” that will NOT be playing the game while driving and have the individual in the passenger seat or other passenger play for the driver.) Use the “Nearby” feature in the lower right screen in the app to see what’s supposed to be around your local vicinity. The nearby Pokémon will change frequently as you change the direction you’re walking in, or go out of range of where you used to be. Different parts of town will have different Pokémon sometimes.
PokéStops and the Treasures They Hold
Having the opportunity to restock your Poké Balls and gain other useful items to assist with the game can be very helpful – especially when they are being offered up for grabs for free! The local PokéStops in your area are going to become your best friend! Approaching these blue 3D icons on your map and spinning the Photo Disc to retrieve the free items will thrill your kids and your wallet! Best part of all—you can do this every 5 minutes as they reset and turn back from lavender to blue when they are open again.
Level Up And Unlock New Items
The neat thing about this app, is that it was designed with kids in mind. This generation delights in instant gratification from apps they play and use, and they enjoy being rewarded for their consistent game play and hard work. Niantic made this Pokémon Go app with this in mind and the game will actually give you free items with each Level you reach! This helps replenish Poké Balls and gives you additional cool and useful items like Lucky Eggs, Incense, Incubators, and more!
