‘SECRET INVASION’ Easter Eggs Episode 4 Beloved

Extremis Virus
We see a flashback showing G’iah receiving the Extremis genes to add to her own. Extremis gives its hosts speed, strength, and healing powers.

Paris 2012
We see Priscilla and Fury discussing the events of The Avengers movie (2012) in a bar.
We see a newspaper front page showing the Battle of New York. Scilla knows Fury is responsible for bringing together the Avengers.
‘Late Fragment’ by Raymond Carver
In the bar in Paris, Scilla is reading a collection of poems by Raymond Carver. She tells Fury her favorite poem is ‘Late Fragment.’ The title of the episode, ‘Beloved,’ comes from this poem.
“Decoding the ‘Superhuman’ Gene”
Inside the home of Fury ad Varra, there is an image hanging that shows a book titled, “Decoding the ‘Superhuman’ Gene”, written by Priscilla, a reference to either the Inhumans or X-Men.
DDT’d
Rhodey tells Priscilla he’s going to DDT Fury, made famous by pro wrestler Jake “The Snake” Roberts.
The DDT is any move in which the wrestler has the opponent in a front face lock/inverted headlock and falls down/backward to drive the opponent’s head into the mat. The classic DDT is performed by putting the opponent in a front face lock and falling backward so that the opponent is forced to dive forward onto their head.
Skrull Rhodey
We see Skrull Rhodey get out of the shower, confirming he is in fact a skrull.
Pappy Van Winkle
Fury visits Rhodey’s hotel room with a bottle of his favorite bourbon whiskey: Pappy Van Winkle.
MCU alum Owen Wilson orders Pappy for the table in The Internship.

Super Skrull powers
We see Gravik use his Super Skrull stretching powers, a trait inherited from Groot. Groot was one of the names G’iah saw on the computer in Episode 2.

Poison?
As a callback to Episode 2, Fury hands Rhodes a glass, and Rhodey asks if he should be worried about poison.
In Episode 2 during the first meeting between them, Rhodes hands Fury a drink with Fury asking if he should be worried about poison.

Nanotech
After Rhodey asks about the poison, Fury jokingly responds that there is nanotech in the drink instead.

Fury’s Best Scene
Fury uses a rocket launcher to bring down a plane carrying a nuclear missile to New York in The Avengers (2012). Fury uses another grenade launcher to bring down one of Gravik’s helicopters in the episode’s climactic battle sequence.
