We love to be outdoors in the summer. Summer is the perfect time of year for cooking on the grill. While we tend to grill a little all year round, we definitely do the bulk of our grilling in the summer season. Grilling means I get to spend less time in my kitchen (yay) and more time outdoors (double yay). It also means I get to spend more time with my family. Kids playing in the yard, parents chatting outside, fewer dishes from kitchen prep. I love the sounds of summer. Honestly, what’s not to love?

Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork makes grilling up a quick summer meal so easy and tasty. I love the flavor choices that come pre-marinated. That have a variety of marinade flavors to choose from and cooking on the grill only enhances the flavor of the meat and those savory marinades. I can grab a Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork loin in the meat section when I’m doing my grocery shopping at our neighborhood Albertsons, and I’m ready to make dinner.
With the Smithfield Marinated Fresh Pork Slow Roasted Golden Rotisserie Marinated Fresh Pork Tenderloin, I can add a few fresh vegetables to the mix and I’ve got a healthy, well-rounded meal. Some of our favorite vegetables to grill include asparagus, beets, and potatoes. Freshly grilled vegetables like these are perfect for rounding out our grilled meal. We usually so a simple grilled preparation like a rub of olive oil, salt, and pepper, and baste that rub over the prepped (washed and sliced) vegetables. Nothing beats the taste of freshly grilled marinated pork and grilled local vegetables. Hearty, healthy, quick, and filling—dinner doesn’t get any better than this.
Grilling is such an easy dinner preparation, too. It’s so easy, in fact, my tweens and teens can help to make dinner, too. Grilling is an easy to way to get kids involved in mealtime. It’s an excellent way to help teach cooking and to spend time with your kids while spending time outdoors. On a hot summer night, family grilling a win for the whole family.
