All The Marvels Easter Eggs You May Have Missed
Warning: Spoilers ahead for THE MARVELS
Marvel Studios Logo Takeover
During the opening crawl, The Marvels trio took over the second half Marvel Studios Logo with all their finest moments in the MCU there are images of Carol from Captain Marvel, shots of Monica from “WandaVision,” and shots of Kamala from “Ms. Marvel,” respectively.
SABER Station
Toward the start of the movie, we see the SABER Station where Nick Fury is working and living. SABER stands for Strategic Aerospace Biophysics and Exolinguistic Response. SABER appears to be an extension of Fury’s SWORD initiative.
Accuser
Dar-Benn has taken the mantle of Accuser (like her predecessor Ronan) in the film. In the comics, Dar-Benn is a male Kree General who ultimately becomes joint emperor with Ael-Dan.
Cosmi-Rod
Dar-Benn wields the Cosmi-Rod and is using it to create jump points in the galaxy. The hammer-like weapon is what Ronan used in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1.
Bangle
Dar-Benn finds the matching bangle to Kamala Khan’s on MB-418. We
Closet Switch – Post-Credit Scene Ms. Marvel
Back in NJ, Kamala is in her room writing her usual fan fiction about meeting Captain Marvel. On the wall is a “girl power” sticker featuring Captain Marvel and Valkyrie. She also has a Captain Marvel Loungefly and Funko POP figures.
On her ship, Carol looks at a wall filled with articles about Maria and Monica Rambeau. Fury asks Carol to go check out what happened on MB-418. She and Goose fly to MB-418.
Carol touches a glowing light at the same time Monica is also touching one, as Kamala is also touching one in her room. The three switch places and we are in the post-credit scene of Ms. Marvel when Carol crashes through Kamala’s closet door.
Emperor Drogge
As Carol comes downstairs and meets Kamala’s family, the Kree fighters show up, destroying Kamala’s home, and the switching continues. The Kree fighters are after the Drogge’s Skrull colony on Tarnax, as mentioned by Talos in “Secret Invasion” Episode 2. Talos told Fury that Drogge’s Skrull colony is the only one that did not secretly migrate to Earth.
Emperor Drogge is another Skrull leader refugee seeking a new home through nonviolent means.
Sloths
In Kamala’s bedroom, there are multiple images of sloths. While these are also the same as in the “Ms. Marvel” series, they are a nod to the comics. Kamala Kahn is a big sloth lover’ her YouTube channel is even named “Sloth Baby Productions.”
Captain America 4 Brave New World.
In a newspaper seen on the living room, you can see an an article about the new government. This is a nod to the upcoming movie Captain America 4 Brave New World.
Witch Hex
Monica states that she received her powers from a witch hex. This is a reference to the “WandaVision” series. At one point in the series, Monica passes through The Hex Wanda has created and gains her superpowers.
Valkyrie
Carol calls a friend to help the Skrulls on Tarnax find a new home. King Valkyrie appears on the Bifrost to take the Skrulls to New Asgard.
Supreme Intelligence Flashback
We see a flashback showing Carol defeating the Supreme Intelligence on Hala. Carol promised to do this at the end of Captain Marvel.
In classic Marvel fashion, the attempt to do the right thing makes the situation worse, and Carol spends the rest of the movie fixing her initial mistake.
Comic Book Aliases for Monica
Kamala “workshops” a name for Monica Rambeau (who is not interested in an alias.) Kamala tries Professor Marvel, Nova (the name of another hero), Vision (also the name of another superhero), Pulsar (one of Monica’s comic book aliases), and Spectrum (another of her comic book aliases).
Quantum Bands
We finally have a name! While we’ve speculated this since Shang-Chi, the bangle Kamala received from her grandmother is finally given: a Quantum Band.
In the comics, Quantum Bands are Kree relics and the precursor to the ultra-powerful Nega-Bands.
In the MCU the Quantum Bands open and control the Universal Neural Teleportation Network (jump points).
“Intergalactic” Training Montage
The MCU sure likes their Beastie Boys tracks!
The training montage in the film where Carol, Monica, and Kamala learn to work together with their entangled powers, is scored to the Beastie Boys’ “Intergalactic.”
If you watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, you may recall the final battle scene is scored to the Beastie Boys’ “No Sleep Till Brooklyn.”
Prince Yan and Aladna
In Aladna, The Marvels meet with Prince Yan D’Aladna, who is also Carol’s husband.
In the comics, Carol Danvers helped Prince Yan out of a pre-arranged marriage, but she didn’t marry him, her ally Tic did.
NIN Shirt
Monica is wearing Carol’s NIN shirt from the Captain Marvel movie.
“We have our heading.”
Kamala says, “We have our heading.” This is a quote by Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man’s Chest.
Flerkens
Goose has a litter of Flerkens. So cute and such a great way to save the S.A.B.E.R. ship personnel!
In the comics, Goose did have a litter of Flerkens. Captain Marvel #7-8 Kelly Sue DeConnick and Marcio Takara).
“Memory”
The song “Memory” plays while the Flerkens swallow the people on SABER station for evacuation. If you didn’t live in the 80s, “Memory” is the emotional climax of the CATS musical
Louisiana
Carol moves into Maria’s house in Louisiana.
Kate Bishop and Pizza Dog
In the last scene of the movie, we see Kate Bishop of “Hawkeye” come home to her NYC apartment where Lucky the Pizza Dog is hanging out with Kamala Khan.
“I’m putting together a team.”
Kamala channels her inner Nick Fury when she tells Kate she is putting together a team and wants her to be a part of it. We are certain this will be the Young Avengers (finally!).
The Marvels Mid-Credit Scene
In the Mid-Credit Scene of The Marvels, Monica finds herself inside the X-Mansion in Dr. Hank McCoy’s lab. Beast (Kelsey Grammar reprising the role) assures her she is safe, having been saved by a character wearing a suit that looks like Binary.
Monica is overwhelmed and in shock—Binary looks exactly like her mother—Maria Rambeau in this reality. However, Binary does not recognize Monica.
Hank mentions that Charles (meaning Charles Xavier aka Professor X) will want a report now that Monica is awake.
In the comics, Binary in the comics is a Carol Danvers duplicate.
The Marvels is in theaters now.
