This fully CG-animated Transformers movie is a fun action-packed origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron one of the best Transformers films to hit theatres in years.
Transformers One Review
Part of the franchise’s director Michael Bay universe, Transformers One follows the enemies Optimus Prime and Megatron in their early years. This origin story follows them through their days as friends on Cybertron as Orion Pax and D-16 before they become rival enemies.
The story is unique and engaging. Chris Hemsworth as Orion Pax and Brian Tyree Henry as D-16 are phenomenal voice casting. They play well off each other; you’d almost think they were BFFs in real life. The rest of the core voice cast is equally as stellar: Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm.
As an animated film, Transformers One is lively ad engaging and holds your attention with beautiful CG animation. As part of the Michael Bay universe, it’s a perfect fit and feels like a true Transformers story, unlike some that aren’t done with Michael Bay.
Verdict
This action-packed CG-animated film is a great family watch for any Transformers fan and one of the best Transformers films to hit theatres in years.
