Stay connected when you travel with the Verizon Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot—AC791L from NETGEAR this holiday season. The Jetpack AC791L lets you have wi-fi wherever you travel—whether you are going over the river, through the woods, to grandmother’s house, or to any one of 200 countries—you’ll be able to keep your devices connected with reliable access to internet and up to 24 hours of battery life with the AC791L mobile hotspot. You can connect up to 15 devices at a time.
The Verizon Jetpack AC791L is available for $49.99 (after a $50 rebate) with a 2-year contract from Verizonwireless.com. From there, you choose your preferred data plan. For example, you could choose the The More Everything Plan, which allows you to share one data plan among a group of devices (perfect for a family or a traveler with a several devices, such as a mobile hotspot and a smartphone). Or, you could choose The Mobile Broadband Plan, which is ideal for activating a standalone hotspot.
Either way, once your device is active, you can use the Verizon Data Calculator to estimate your data usage. Go to www.verizonwireless.com/datacalculatr. Select Internet Device 4G, Press the “calculate” button to estimate your data usage.
Not sure how much data you need? Here’s an example of what you 5GB of data would get you:
- 3000 emails
- 1500 hours of web access
- 300 minutes of video streaming
- 60 minutes of photo uploads/downloads
The set up and login and very easy and quick. With the touch of the power button and a quick login, I’m on. It’s great. I can be sitting at my girls’ gymnastics session and getting managing a Twitter party or drafting a blog post! Or if it’s a travel day, I can be sitting at an airport that doesn’t have free wi-fi and also be connected and getting some work done. That little blue light in the corner means I’m connected and transferring data!

This is certainly a valuable tool as long as it’s reasonably priced. One can really chew through lots of data quickly.
