I have been a huge Stephen Sondheim fan for years. Into the Woods has been one of my favorite musicals, so I was very excited when I found out Disney was doing a version of it on the big screen, and it didn’t disappoint. The casting is phenomenal. Any Meryl Streep or Ann Kendrick fan knows they have amazing voices, but if you’ve never heard someone like Emily Blunt, James Corden, or Chris Pine sing, you’ve been missing out. This is a movie you must add to your collection if you haven’t already. The video has only been out for home release a couple of weeks and I’ve already watched it tree times with my family. I can’t get enough. It’s my favorite version to date, and as a former theatre major, that’s saying something!
